Grape stomping contest at the Italian Heritage Festival Hilton Head

Get ready for a taste of Italy in the Lowcountry when the Hilton Head Italian Heritage Festival arrives at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors will enjoy a robust celebration of Italian culture, featuring traditional foods, lively entertainment, and family-friendly contests like grape-stomping and pizza-eating.

Food booths will serve Italian favorites such as breads, cheeses, pasta, meatballs, sausages and calzones, along with desserts like gelato, biscotti and zeppoles. Many items are sponsored by local restaurants. A silent auction, crafts, vendor booths and live music create a festive atmosphere that draws locals and visitors alike.

Children under 10 are admitted free, and free parking is offered. No pets are permitted at the festival. Whether you have Italian roots or simply love fine food and vibrant culture, this event offers one of the most enjoyable community festivals on Hilton Head Island. Come hungry, stay curious, and be prepared for an afternoon of delicious dishes and good times. Tickets and more info can be found on the Italian Heritage of Hilton Head website.
