The Kids’ Zone, located in the Discovery House, provides an opportunity for parents to interact with their children while learning about the cultural and natural history of the island. Dress up in costumes, from the Colonial Days, while playing Colonial games. Put puzzles together, create your own puppet show, or enjoy a book from the library of children’s books for all ages! Search through Native American pottery, replicas of artifacts, bones from loggerhead sea turtles, and a variety of shells from Hilton Head beaches.

THE SANDBOX

Indoor educational activities & play areas for kids 8 & under. The museum offers 11 hands-on exhibits including a climbing wall & spaceship, a weekly, staff-guided Imagination Hour and a variety of other programs and annual events for members, local visitors and tourists.
